With more than two decades in the legal field, Amber McFee has gained extensive experience that sets her apart. Her foundation was built with 17 years as a family law paralegal. Amber pursued higher education, earning an undergraduate degree from Utah Valley University and a law degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School in Provo, where she discovered her passion for advocacy and litigation. As a blended family member, Amber values effective solutions, emphasizing children’s need for loving relationships with both parents.

Alix

Alixandria joined McFee Law with nearly a decade of experience in family law and a steadfast commitment to advocating for children and families. A graduate of the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, she has been practicing law since 2016 and has built a reputation for her compassionate approach, sharp legal insight, and unwavering dedication to her clients. Her passion for work with domestic violence survivors makes her exceptionally empathetic to our clients and the difficult legal process they face.

Alixandria’s natural rapport with families and children makes her exceptionally well-suited for private guardian ad litem work, a role in which she is expanding under the guidance of McFee Law’s experienced PGAL leadership. In her time with the firm, she has already distinguished herself through skilled client representation and tenacious advocacy. Her work embodies the McFee Law mission: using our legal expertise to help create happy, healthy, and nurturing environments for children throughout Utah.

In her free time, she loves to play games, create art, and spend time with friends, family, and her far too many fur-babies.

Jade

Jade is a first-generation college graduate who learned early the value of hard work, determination, perseverance, and problem-solving. A recent graduate of BYU’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, she is a firm believer in the saying, “we rise by lifting others,” and strives to reflect that principle in every professional setting. In addition to working at McFee Law, Jade serves part-time as an Assistant City Attorney for Provo City.

In her free time, Jade enjoys watching movies and reading. She also likes to camp, go for canyon drives, and try new restaurants with her husband. She’s also known in our office as Theo’s (Amber’s service dog) favorite person. You can often find Theo cuddled up next to Jade or sitting right beside her while she works.

Melanie

Melanie brings a strong background in the legal system and a passion for family law to her role as Lead Paralegal. A native of Tooele, Utah, she earned her degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology and Corrections from the University of Utah. Her legal career began in the Third District Court, where she served as a Judicial Assistant and later as the Case Manager for the Domestic Division. These roles provided her with a deep understanding of court procedures and the complexities of domestic litigation, which she now applies to her work in private practice. Her smart mouth and smart mind bring an unparalleled quality to the McFee Law team and we would not be the same without her.

Melanie lives in Sandy, Utah, with her husband and their beloved fur-baby, Gia. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time at her family’s farm in Tooele, which provides a sanctuary for animals with special needs.

Lexi

Lexi is our Guardian ad Litem Paralegal. Growing up with three younger sisters, and now two nieces, she’s always been a fierce protector, instinctively drawn to supporting and uplifting young lives.

Lexi’s career began in the medical field as a medical assistant for a pediatric general surgeon, where she developed a deep understanding of children’s needs and the importance of compassionate care. After some time in the medical field, she decided to switch paths. Lexi spent some time working in Research and Development, before she came here to McFee Law as a summer intern.

Recognizing her brilliance, incredible work ethic, and dynamic addition to our team, Lexi came on board full time within just a few weeks. As a woman of many talents, she also runs our social media platforms, assists our lead paralegal, and is an intake specialist.

In her free time, she enjoys live music, spending time with her sisters, being outdoors, and finding any excuse to eat ice cream.

Raine

Raine is McFee Law’s Intake Specialist and a beloved member of the team. Raine knows what it’s like for kids of divorce/separating families. She grew up in a blended family, and prides themself on loving four parents and her six siblings. While being the only child from her biological mom and dad, she has a big heart to love her entire family.

After years working in the industry and product manufacturing sector, Raine shifted career goals and transitioned into family law at the end of 2024. She adds unparalleled value to the McFee Law team as she has a unique perspective on medically complex children. Raine lives with Cystic Fibrosis but despite the limitations that come with her diagnosis, it has never stopped her from having a bright attitude.

Her unlimited love and compassion are paramount to McFee Law’s guardian ad litem work because Raine is a child at heart; and you can’t convince her that mermaids don’t exist.
When not working, she loves to play video games, hang out with family, and dote on her amazing husband.

Jake

Jake grew up splitting his youth between Heber City (Utah) West Yellowstone (Montana) and Shelby (Montana). Spending 12 cumulative years in Montana instilled a small-town sensibleness and compassion to his personality. Upon graduating from High School Jake moved back to his hometown of Heber City.

Jake started his working career with Albertson’s Food and Drug, followed by employment within the grocery industry with many organizations such as Coca-Cola, Dreyer’s Ice Cream, Associated Food Stores, and Harmons Grocery Stores. These years of service in the retail grocery industry led Jake to work as a General Manager for a Travel Plaza in Park City Utah for nine years. Retiring from retail in 2021 Jake took time off to focus on family and relocated his family to Sandy, Utah.

Jake has an extensive background in client service and human resource management making him an excellent addition to the team at McFee Law. As Office Manager, there’s nothing he can’t fix. From billing and invoicing to client satisfaction, Jake keeps the office running smoothly and our clients happy. He truly believes that we can help Calm the Chaos of family law through kind-heartedness, empathy, and hometown values.

When not keeping the employees of McFee Law in line, Jake enjoys camping with his family, working on his sports cars, wrangling his three children, and building memories with his loving wife.

Theo

Theo is McFee Law's service dog (specifically Amber's). He is a crucial part of our team as he calms the chaos not only for our staff but for our clients, adults and children alike. His small frame and sweet demeanor allows him to cuddle and bring joy to otherwise stressful situations. He loves to give kisses, chase squirrels, run with his kids, and snuggle with his family.
